Promotional Packaging That Fits Marketing, Sales StrategiesProductive Knowledge Inc.’s unique understanding of both marketing/public relations and revenue producing realities led to a solution that had immediate impact, satisfied dual strategic marketing goals and had long-lasting sales results for a leading manufacturer of home building materials. The client was interested in expanding awareness of its unique offerings, including new products and existing lines of building trim profiles and products. The strategic plan had to be flexible so that it could impact both the new home building and remodeling market and get the samples into the hands of distributors, dealers and contractors themselves -- ultimately enabling samples to reach homeowners. Productive Knowledge Inc. met with senior management of the company and built the program from a results-oriented mentality. We developed research and interviewed key distributors, helping the company understand its clients and corresponding unique message points to create the impact desired. Productive Knowledge Inc. facilitated meetings to establish goals, set time-and-event schedules, identified message assets and the key value proposition, launched the program in conjunction with selling efforts throughout the U.S., segmented the audiences (new home vs. remodeling), and keyed into the various distribution strategies that the company had built over the years. The resulting fully-designed corrugated paper builders’ kit acted as both a promotional package and a point-of-purchase display. Productive Knowledge Inc. also created posters and brochures to enable the company to “sell” the program to its prospective distributors at various trade show events. Corresponding public relations activities were created to produce coverage of the program in trade magazines throughout the U.S.
